How can I text a landline?
With SMileS, texts to landlines are either received as a text message on a text message capable phones (many DECT portable handsets are text capable these days) or the text message will be converted to a voice message ready for the customer to listen to. How long does it take to setup the service?
With SMileS you simply register with your business contact details, and choose a username and password. Your account is then ready for use. You will need to purchase SMS credits before you can start sending messages.

How much does it cost?
With SMileS, its FREE to register. There are no up-front registration or setup fees, and there are no service/rental charges. You only pay for the SMS messages - nothing else. How can I pay for SMS credits?
SMS credits are pre-paid. For instant use, you can pay online using any major credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Delta). Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer (BACS or CHAPS) from your bank to our Coop bank account. For government bodies, NHS trusts and listed companies, we can arrange a credit account on issue of an official Purchase Order. Please contact us for a Credit Account Application Form.

Is my client/patient data secure?
Yes. SMileS SMS is registered in accordance with the Data Protection Act and all our systems, websites and policies are strictly in adherance to the requirements of the Act and our clients commercial confidentiality. You login securely to our website to schedule your SMS reminders for your clients/patients so ordinarily we never even see any personal information - it is processed automatically by our secure systems. Your historical message information is encrypted and archived to give you reporting facilities, but you may choose to permanently delete sent messages if you wish.

Am I tied in to any contract?
No. With SMileS SMS you register free and you can use your SMS account whenever you wish. You may also terminate and close your account at anytime, simply email or call us to let us know. Any message credits you purchase are valid for a whole 12 months, so you can use them at anytime within that period.

What if I have several branches?
Operators with multiple branches can benefit from volume discounts by sharing one account. You may specify the branch details if you wish, so that the text messages for each branch's clients/patients will contain the name/phone-number of the local branch.

Can I use the service for promotions?
SMileS SMS allows you to send bulk SMS messages to all your registered customers. You can use this facility for special offers, promotions, seasonal greetings, or announcements.
